General

Persimmon Homes is bringing forward 266 high quality new homes offering new and existing residents nearby a desirable place to live with opportunities for employment, education, recreation and community interaction.

The houses being built will reflect the local facade of Cheltenham and will see a mixed housing type available for purchase. There will be a mix of homes, from one bedroom properties, to larger 5 bed homes.

Appropriate traffic management plans will be implemented throughout the duration of the construction period to ensure that traffic flow and disruption is kept to a minimum. These can be found on our ‘road closure and diversion’ page.

An element of affordable housing will be provided at Swindon Farm in clusters and will include affordable rented, shared ownership and low cost/reduced cost market housing. It is expected that 93 homes will be affordable.

This is Persimmon Homes first no gas development. Solar panels and/or air source heat pumps will feature on every home. Green corridors, play areas, allotments and natural green spaces are linked together providing recreation for residents. These green spaces will include tree planting, grassland and sustainable urban drainage which provides natural habitats to support a wide range of native wildlife and ecology. The development will be sustainable in and of its nature and will promote the use of accessible public transport, footpaths and cycle ways.

The development is subject to a number of conditions and these will be updated on our ‘updates’ page.
